Appenzeller International House held a Drawing Cafe on March 21, to explore new ways to express ideas, emotions, and perspectives through the medium of art. Painting and drawing have been shown to increase positive feelings, and this was certainly the case for the Zellers who attended this event!

The ordinary classroom was turned into a haven for creativity as twenty students were gathered and grouped into teams of four, taking turns painting the backside of the mirrors. With their art supplies set up and cups of tea in hand, the cozy ambiance of the cafe allowed for inspiration to pour and for conversations to flow effortlessly. Students got creative, with some even painting on the mirror and making an interactive photo spot for all students to enjoy!

To end the day, the students not only left the event with a beautiful memento of their artwork, but also with newfound friendships to mark the event.
